Through Portal, you can assign content to each of your pages using fields and captions, but in order for the system to differentiate between your home page and collection page, we use number IDs called Page Types. The most commonly used Page Types are:
NOTE: These page types may not be the same as used on your own website. Please refer to your own Page Types Manual for the most accurate information.
Each of your website's pages use your content based on its Page Type. For example, Caption 1 on Page Type 3 may be the slogan of your company - but on Page Type 2, it is the product's description. Your company's own Page Types Manual will provide instructions on which fields, captions, and images serve which purposes.
Please note that these fields are HTML friendly, and at times may require basic HTML knowledge to maintain the content. If you are new to HTML, we suggest visiting W3C Schools for assistance.
To help you with your content management, we provide you with a Page Types Manual, which lists each page type available for your website's use, and what information should go in each image slot, caption, and additional fields. To get the most out of your website, please familiarize yourself with this document and follow its instructions closely.
